"65 Year Holiday" ART FILM

This was a project I created for a video art show in San Francisco called 'Raw/SF Showcase,' displaying new works by Bay Area video artists and media makers.
The inspiration for this video project came from watching old family film reels my Grandfather had entrusted to me (mostly 8mm), to which I digitized and converted to video files. I realized that when home movies were still a novelty, most people only filmed their best times: family vacations and holidays.
With that in mind, I then created this piece with newer digital video footage, and created what you see here, a video montage/collage bringing together four generations and 65 years of my family's holidays into one body of work.
