2K - Stiges Crashing Waves - 1080p

Perhaps my favorite bit of footage from Sitges. This is waves shot at 2K resolution at 72 frames per second, set to a bit of music I like. While it eventually pans to show more than the original lockoff, I LOVE how much detail is revealed from repeat viewings. This is the only shot of this series that I went in and did color correction on - I darkened it up, pushed the saturation overall, and specifically darkened and saturated the blue/green part of the spectrum (the ocean), while leaving the yellow/orange (the rocks) alone. A good example of how hard you can push this footage (and they've raised 2K datarates since then as well - perhaps they might be able to go higher once Red RAM ships?) Tons of gorgeous detail to study - note the turbulence in the waves, the water pouring out of the crevices, the rolling curled under smash of water against the rocks - love it. You can also see fine details in the distance, such as the woman walking her dog along the far, far wall towards the end of the shot. This shot, as with all of these, hasn't been sharpened in post, although that is an area worthy of exploration - Jim Jannard's even mentioned it on reduser.net. As with all of these other shots, unfortunately, the PL mount wasn't correctly shimmed, so this isn't as sharp as it could have/should have been. But it is still pretty good.
