From 1995 to 2008 Richard Dawkins held the Charles Simonyi Professorship in the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. When Charles funded the post it was done with the understand that Richard should be the first to hold this professorship. However he has used this position of influence not just to promote the understanding of science but perhaps more intensly to promote Atheism. In Chapter 4 of his book the God Delusion he makes the case that Atheism is the scientific view.

Dr Marc Surtees has a PhD in Zoology and a belief in God. Here he challanges Richard Dawkins' science showing the many assumptions it is based on and why these are not fair assumptions to make. He also explores what the current evidence show about origins.
