To get a taste of what the net wouuld be like if it were controled, take a look at the cell phone data plans in Canada right now (though it's leaning towards change). I'm on a cell phone network (Fido) that charges roughly $0.05/kB of data. You'll get to see more for cheaper if you visit their sites instead. About $1/MB. I hope the ISPs don't turn into that. :)

Great info on net nuetrality and what it means to us if we lose it. I would hate to have the Internet turned in to a network simular to cable or cellphones. Cellphone provider charging per text message is sick. Imagine if it cost you 10 cents per email or chat.
The Internet is our network, not thiers. Thier job should be to connect you to the Internet and ensure you stay connected, that is all.
